Bob has been a data scientist since before Data Science was cool, utilising his background in physics, quantitative models and artificial intelligence to solve diverse real-world problems ranging from running a futures hedge fund to finding missing persons.
At Orchestrated Intelligence Bob has teamed up with cutting edge Supply Chain practitioners and developed a novel approach using AI and multi-objective mathematical modelling to enable organisations to model the optimal supply chain network to maximise service whilst minimising costs.
Bob began his career as an astrophysicist, developing computer models of physical processes near supermassive black holes. He co-authored the books, Artificial Neural Networks: Forecasting Time Series and “De-mystifying Big Data and Machine Learning for Healthcare “. His upcoming book, “De-mystifying AI for the Enterprise,” will come out this year. He received his BA in physics at UC Berkeley and his PhD in physics at Harvard.
In addition to being Co-founder of Orchestrated Intelligence, Bob is also Expert in Residence for AI at the University of California San Francisco Center for Digital Health Innovation and is a member of the Board of Advisors to the Harvard Institute for Applied Computational Science.
