Corina is one of the top global supply chain leaders at Mondelēz International, with more than 24 years of experience in manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain strategy. She is Romanian and graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, with a Bachelor degree in International Economic Relations. She also has received an eMBA degree in Supply Chain from the Hasslam College of Business, University of Tennessee.
Corina joined Kraft Jacobs Suchard in Romania as a Marketing Assistant, responsible for the candy category. After a few years in marketing, she took the brave decision to take over a manufacturing role, which was the defining moment of her career. Manufacturing became the home for Corina, where she developed both her technical as well as her leadership skills. She grew her career in manufacturing, procurement and strategy and relocated with her family to Poland, Austria and Switzerland (where she is currently living).
Leading different multi-cultural teams was an amazing opportunity for her, as while she achieved great business results, she also became one of the few supply chain women leaders of Mondelēz International. The company offered her great development opportunities through challenging assignments, new roles and significant exposure to senior leadership. She led manufacturing facilities from different European countries, she developed and led the supply chain strategy for the European manufacturing network, defining and kicking off several major growth and restructuring programs around Europe. She took over a global role, leading the Procurement team in Packaging and External Supply, focused on sourcing for growth, including driving the packaging Sustainability agenda with suppliers, in support of Mondelēz International’s commitment to achieve 100% recyclable packaging by 2025. She is currently the Global Lead for Indirect Sourcing, being responsible for global sourcing of logistics, facilities management, corporate and professional services, IT and marketing and sales.
While being a senior woman-leader in supply chain is not an easy task, she is very experienced in gaining respect and support from the team members, peers and senior leaders, through her passion, driven by results, fearless and ‘never give up' attitude. She is a mentor for several women in the organization and she is a member of several organizations, with the vision to support women with Supply Chain to develop and grow their careers within Mondelez.
