Kara Romanow is a dynamic senior level executive with over thirty years of experience leveraging technology to bring about process change in the Consumer Goods industry. She is currently working with various analysts and technology providers to develop marketing programs, messaging, and conduct research. Previously, Kara was the Executive Editor at Consumer Goods Technology, where she developed sought‐after communities to connect executives and share best practices. She also served as Research Director for the Consumer Products practice at AMR Research where she was responsible for research and analysis of market developments and headed company efforts on the gap between retailer and supplier. She led research on critical topics including data synchronization, trade promotions, POS data, and RFID; she became the dissenting voice of the brand owner over RFID adoption concerns, and initiated coverage of downstream data, coining the term “Demand Signal Repository” in 2003. Ms. Romanow worked closely with Roddy Martin for many years and is honored to be involved with this award in his memory.
